DJI RS 2 Gimbal Stabilizer Pro Combo

The DJI RS 2 Pro Combo packs several additional accessories with the RS 2 gimbal to provide a more comprehensive workflow. A key addition is the DJI Ronin RavenEye Image Transmission System, which allows for 330' 1080p video transmission from the gimbal with a latency of only 50ms for on-set collaboration. The other extra accessories are a focus motor, phone holder, two focus gears, and three HDMI cables.

The RS 2 gimbal is a redesigned follow-up to the Ronin-S gimbal with a payload of up to 10 lb. It's about 25% lighter and more compact thanks to monocoque carbon fiber axis arms and a shorter grip handle with a smaller battery cartridge, although still with a 12-hour runtime. The motors are about 20% more powerful and support cameras such as the Blackmagic Pocket 6K, Canon 1D X Mark III, Sony a7S III, and ALEXA Mini LF. The RS 2 also has a 1.4'' full-color LCD touchscreen that allows you to access gimbal settings as well as features such as time-lapse and hyperlapse, which were previously accessible only via the companion mobile app.

The RS 2 uses the DJI Titan stabilization algorithm to provide improved stabilization with increased smoothness. In applications with up to 100mm zoom lenses, a built-in feature called SuperSmooth complements the algorithm by compensating for micromovements and increasing torque to achieve fluid motion (an optional lens support is required).

There are also two RSA ports with electrical contacts for dedicated accessories, and each port has a NATO mount for quick release attachment of these optional accessories. One RSA port is provided on the left and one on the right side of the gimbal. Supported accessories include a focus wheel, a twist-grip dual handle, and a universal mount for efficiently attaching the gimbal to a car, jib, or slider.

The companion iOS/Android Ronin app offers many creative features in addition to standard time-lapse and panorama functions. Time Tunnel combines roll motion with hyperlapse to ''twist'' space and time. Track allows you to create a repeatable camera movement path for a tightly choreographed shot. Force Mobile makes the gimbal follow your smartphone's movements. Force Mobile can also be achieved with enhanced responsiveness when you use the included RavenEye transmission system. When you use the RavenEye, you can also display a live view of your subjects on the touchscreen when using the RavenEye's ActiveTrack feature.

The RS 2 uses a dual-layer Manfrotto plus Arca-Swiss camera mounting system with two removable quick release plates. For social media content, the gimbal can be adjusted at the tap of a button to position your camera into portrait mode. To let you efficiently balance your camera, the RS 2 has an axis lock on each axis, so you can unlock and balance one axis at a time. Additionally, a fine-tune balancing knob allows you to further dial in the optimal balance for your camera.

The gimbal runs for up to 12 hours on a battery cartridge that secures to the included grip handle. The cartridge can easily be swapped out for another one, sold separately. The cartridge is rechargeable via a USB Type-C port on the grip, and the grip can be completely removed from the gimbal when you need to recharge the battery. The BG30 grip is compatible with the PD and QC 2.0 charging protocols. DJI highly recommends using a 24W charger, not included. The battery supports 24W fast charging and can be fully recharged in about 1.5 hours.

The RS 2 comes with a splash-proof carry case designed with dedicated compartments for the different parts of the gimbal and key accessories. A mini tripod is also included and attaches to a 1/4''-20 thread on the bottom of the grip handle to function as a stand or an extension handle for two-handed maneuvering of the gimbal in certain scenarios.

The motors of the RSC 2 are 50% more powerful than those of the Ronin-SC, which is the predecessor of this redesigned gimbal. A key feature of the RSC 2 is a foldable design that allows switching to underslung mode. The DJI RSC 2 is designed for mirrorless and DSLR cameras and supports up to 6.6 lb camera and accessories loads.

The gimbal head folds down from the gimbal handle, and you can then flip the gimbal around and use it underslung for low-angle shots, without having to attach or detach anything. The gimbal handle remains integrated and has built-in batteries that provide up to a 14-hour runtime. Also, the batteries can be charged via the handle while the gimbal is being used in operation (except in extremely high/low temperatures). The handle supports PD and QC 2.0 fast-charging protocols and can be recharged in approximately two hours using an 18W fast charger, not included. The foldable design of the gimbal also allows for easier transport and storage.

The RSC 2 also features a 1'' OLED black-and-white screen and has a horizontal dial on the front for focus adjustments with the same hand you hold the gimbal. On each side of the gimbal handle is a NATO mount with M4 threads for attaching dedicated accessories such as an optional briefcase handle.

The RSC 2 uses the DJI Titan stabilization algorithm, an improved version over the previous one that provides better stabilization and fluidity. There's also a built-in feature called SuperSmooth that complements the algorithm when working with up to 100mm zoom lenses. Monitoring on Smartphone

RS 3 supports the Ronin Image Transmitter (previously known as the Ronin RavenEye Image Transmitter) to transmit 1080p30 HD live feeds directly to a mobile device. The maximum transmission distance is 656 feet, and the end-to-end transmission latency is as low as 60 ms. A smartphone can also be attached to the NATO port on the RS 3 with the phone holder for wireless monitoring.

When using ActiveTrack Pro, you can directly monitor or frame the subject on the RS 3 Pro's OLED touchscreen.

Large 1.8'' OLED Touchscreen

The built-in 1.8'' OLED full-color touchscreen provides a 28% larger display when compared to RS 2, making it incredibly convenient for setting parameters, checking shooting status, and framing your tracked subjects. With the redesigned user interface, every setting is more intuitive and precise. The OLED screen also offers higher brightness than the LCD screen of RS 2 for better outdoor viewing with lower power consumption.

Carbon Fiber Construction

The RS 3 Pro arms are constructed from layered sheets of uncut carbon fiber, just like the Ronin 2. This makes it lighter and stronger than the jointed carbon fiber material used on RS 2, increasing stiffness and a lower weight to cope with even more demanding shooting environments.

LiDAR Compatibility

To make focusing easier for handheld shooting, Ronin 4D's LiDAR focusing technology is applied to RS 3 Pro. The new optional LiDAR Range Finder (RS) can project 43,200 ranging points within a 14-meter area.

Remote Control

The High-Bright Remote Monitor can be used with Ronin 4D Hand Grips, DJI Master Wheels, or DJI Force Pro to control the gimbal and focus precisely. It is also equipped with a built-in gyroscopic sensor that can turn the remote monitor into a standalone motion controller for RS 3 Pro without additional accessories to achieve more complex camera movements from a moving vehicle or with a jib.

Wireless Camera Control

When RS 3 Pro is mounted on carriers like a jib, cable cam, or vehicle suction cup, Mirror Control mode unlocks seamless wireless control from anywhere on set. This mode allows direct control of the core menu operations for Sony mirrorless cameras via the remote monitor, all without having to detach your camera.

Enhanced Battery and Fast Charging

The new RS 3 Pro battery grip features a cartridge design, making it easier to swap batteries and smaller for storage compared with RSC 2. It can even be charged separately from the gimbal. The new battery grip provides an extended runtime of up to 12 hours, enough for continuous shooting all day. It supports 18W PD fast charging with a charge time of just 2.5 hours. It can even be used while charging to keep RS 3 powered almost indefinitely.

Extensive Ports and Accessories

With dual RSA/NATO ports and a battery port, RS 3 Pro can be connected to various accessories such as the Twist Grip Dual Handle, Tethered Control Handle, and the new DJI Briefcase Handle to flexibly meet a variety of shooting requirements.

DJI RS SDK

DJI RS SDK is a developer protocol provided by DJI for developers and third-party hardware manufacturers to equip DJI RS 3 Pro with more features for extensive scenarios.
